DUE TO THE UPCOMING INCLEMENT WEATHER FORECAST, TONIGHT’S EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
Guest speaker Dan Ward will discuss a pair of toolsets designed to help the defense acquisition community improve acquisition outcomes and increase innovation. The first kit is a collection of three digital acquisition tools developed by MITRE and launched on the Defense Acquisition University website. The Adaptive Acquisition Framework and the Contracting Cone both aim to make it easier for acquisition professionals to explore the full range of strategy options available in today’s policy environment, while the Digital Other Transaction Guide provides practical information about OT’s. The second kit is a set of 24 methods and techniques teams can use to go beyond brainstorming and pursue innovative approaches to technology, policy, and other areas.
Dan Ward is the author of The Simplicity Cycle (HarperBusiness, 2015) and F.I.R.E.: How Fast, Inexpensive, Restrained and Elegant Methods Ignite Innovation (HarperBusiness, 2014).
