The NCMA Boston Spring Webinar Series  is an 8-week lunch series webinar focused on education and professional development in regulatory compliance and industry best practices.

8 Lunch & Learn Sessions will be hosted each Tuesday from 12:00-1:30 PM starting on May 12th running through June 30th.

June 30 Session 8: Proposal Pricing and Estimating: Understanding FAR and DFARS

TC Bane

Presenter: TC Bane, Senior Manager, Government Contracts Practice, BDO

TC Bane has spent much of his career consulting various clients (both for profit and nonprofit) on multiple aspects of government contracts ranging from regulatory compliance to litigation and audit support. He has a vast working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS). TC has supported multiple organizations in the preparation of their Indirect Cost Rate Proposals. This includes the calculation of overhead and general and administrative rates and populating DCAA ICE models to ensure all costs have been properly reported in accordance with Government regulations. He has also consulted with several Federal contractors, providing recommendations on the restructuring of indirect cost rates due to Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) noncompliance issues. In addition, he has supported internal reviews for several organizations’ internal controls and cost accounting practices related to the clients’ general control environment, compensation system, and DFARS contractor business systems.

CPE credit will be granted on a per session basis ( up to 1.5 CPEs per session) and will be issued after the conclusion of the series.
